The BD 900 is optimised for the optician, optometrist, contact lens practitioners and ophthalmologists specialising in the anterior segment. It is also ideal for non-ophthalmologists within emergency rooms. Video – 1 CCD or 3 CCD – may be fitted through a built-in video port (C-mount). Standard magnification is 10 and 16x times – through the flip of a lever placed just beneath the microscope.
Optimal performance – for the anterior segment.
Special Features
Eye-piece BD 900 10x
Illumination Device BD 900
With a new single support column and redesigned mirror the Slit Lamp BD 900 offers optimal patient contact. The new halogen bulb, with improved cooling, offers up to 300,000 Lux. The slit can be adjusted from hairline width up to 14 mm. As with all Slit Lamps in the HAAG-STREIT range the slit may be rotated through 90 degrees in either direction around its optical axis. UV and IR filters are built-in and Blue and Grey Filters can be introduced as needed.
Instrument base BD 900
Just one of the many features which set HAAG-STREIT apart from other Slit Lamps. Wear- and tear-free, silky smooth movement, for years and years. An innovation here is the conveniently positioned rheostat for control of the illumination intensity.
Microscope
Supplied with 10x eyepieces, the magnification switches from 10x to 16x through a control lever mounted on the microscope. 13 degree convergence, wide eyepieces and adjustable papillary distance ensure strainfree viewing. The eyepieces are also adjustable for spectacle wearers.
Yellow filter
For good contrast enhancement when using fluorescein, a yellow filter is introduced by a simple turn of the main objective.
Video System
The integrated Video System permits the visual documentation of the examination results. The advantages are obvious. The course of a disease can be followed and explained to the patients more easily. The visual documentation allows to involve collogues in the diagnosis and the treatment. The data can be stored digitally and be compared with examination results from other devices.
Video Port
The microscope is automatically provided with an inbuilt beam-splitter and video port. Therefore video can be very easily, and economically added. Additional background illumination can also be supplied.
