The BQ 900, due to its excellent optics, versatility and ease of operation, has become the standard for those requiring advanced slit lamp microscopy. A universal, modular system, offering simultaneous video and still photography through either professional or consumer level cameras. A range of optional accessories include a teaching scope, inclined eyepieces and, for retinal specialists, the unique stereo variator. As with all Haag-Streit slit lamps, a Goldmann tonometer – the gold standard in IOP measurement – may be added to the system.
Sophisticated microscopy –
fascinating versatility.
Special Features
Illumination Device B
The constant excellent illumination (150 000 to 600 000 Lux.), the ability to adjust the length of the slit image either by steps or continuously are only a part of many great features of this device.
Furthermore, the slit mechanism allowing hairline settings provides unique depth perception. The possibility to rotate the slit around the optical axis through 90° in either directions combined with the range of slit length adjustments permits evaluation of distances in the horizontal plane.
Tilting the slit image by up to 20° permits examination in vertical, oblique and horizontal optical section.
Instrument Base 900.1.3
The illumination device and the stereo microscope are mounted on a cross slide. With this arrangement, both the slit and the object can be seen in focus simultaneously. With the patented joy-stick, movements in vertical and horizontal directions are possible.
Stereo-Microscope 900.7
The binocular microscope has a parallel optical path. Its main features are a large binocular field of view, high resolution and depth of focus. The convergent eye-pieces allow examinations under natural conditions and eliminate double images, commonly perceived when working with parallel eyepieces. The examiner is relaxed and free of fatigue even during longer periods of examination.
